John Krenik will be presenting a lecture, "Neurological Functions, Thinking, and Creativity: Gaining a Greater Understanding of How People Think and Create" at the Art/InterFace OSEA/CSEA Conference 2010 October 16 at the Ontario College of Art and Design, in Toronto, Canada.

John Krenik attended the 24th Learning and the Brain Conference on Modern Brains: Enhancing memory and Performance in this Distracting Digital Age, November 20-22, 2009 in Cambridge, MA. John also took a tour of the fMRI brain imaging scanner at the Athinoula A. Martinos Imaging Center, at the MIT labratory of John Gabrieli, PhD.
John Krenik presented a poster session on "Neuroscience, Self Awareness and it's Relation to Art: A Specific Look at Adolescent Neurology", at the Learning and the Brain Conference in Washington, D.C., May 7-9, 2009. John also introduced the guest speakers, Dr. Lawrence Steinberg, and Dr. Robert Epstein for their session, "Teen Brains and Thinking", as well as a scheduled panel discussion immediatly following the lectures.

John Krenik was named Master Teacher, 2008 by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
John Krenik attended the Learning and the Brain Conference, April 25-29, 2008 at the MIT Faculty Club in Cambridge, MA to learn more about how the latest studies in brain research impacts education.

John Krenik has been named a signature member of the North West Watercolor Society (NWWS). John Krenik's watercolor bath painting entitled "Construct of the Mind" was juried into the NWWS's Waterworks 2008 exhibition juried by Betsy Dillard Stroud. The exhibition was held at the New Dimensions Gallery in Bellevue, WA from October 28 through December 5, 2008. John recieved the "Canson Award", a 7th place award of 25 sheets of 140 lb Arches Watercolor Paper.
John Krenik has been named a signature member of the National Watercolor Society (NWS). The painting that brought John's acceptance in the NWS is entitled "An Experience". The exhibition was held at the National Watercolor Society Building in San Pedro, CA from August 30-November 1, 2008. The jurors of selection were Miles G. Batt Sr., Carrie Burns Brown, and Cathy Woo. The Juror of Awards was Peter Adams. An Awards ceremony and Exhibition reception was held on September 13, 2008.
