Moon Over Province Lands

“Moon Over Province Lands”; 23″ x 35″, a watercolor bath painting. This topic was also created in whiteline woodcut (see whiteline woodcut prints this website). This painting was one of the first in a series of the Provincelands created in watercolor bath. This painting was instrumental in gaining signature status in the New England Watercolor Society in 1989, the first signatuure status held for me in a national watercolor society. At the time, this piece was very controversial because it was non traditional and broke tradition with acceptance as a signature member in a very tightly controlled conservative watercolor society, making way for other notraditional artists to join the New England Watercolor Society, eventually changing policy on signature status.
